No actually its not. it is very much a question about PCD. I will ask it again Why do you change the back ground color to black. Does it help with viewing models? Does it make taking points better. Can you see your features better? Does the wireframe work better?

I have been noticing people are changing the background screen color to back. Is there a reason for this?
I do it due to my fantastic eyes not liking brightness. There is a lot less eye strain with the darker colors. On my computer, if an application has a dark mode, I put it in dark mode. Outside of work I wear sunglasses all the time and the visor on all my motorcycle helmets are a dark tint.
I always chalked it up to the old design rooms I was in years ago, A whole room of cad designers sitting in the dark working. Assumed it was due to eye strain.
