Command Mode Programming

Easy question hopefully for you high level programmers;

Does anyone have a cheat sheet for writing programs in command mode? I am still somewhat new to PCDMIS and find it much easier to change stuff within FCF's in command mode, and wanted to learn how to write the programs like inserting features, creating alignments etc. I have tried to mess with it but can't ever figure out what to type in order to get the correct aspect.

If you don't have a cheat sheet, maybe some tips on how to get better?

  • If you program in Summary Mode, it's writing the code as you go.

    You can toggle back and forth to see what code was written when you do an action in Summary Mode. (View > Summary / Command)

    I can't stress enough how customizing colors in the edit window has helped me. Dimensions are white, features are green, alignments are yellow, etc.

    Also, I'm colorblind so my colors may be too extreme for you. I need heavy contrast.

    I am doing that now but failing to change just the specified aspect's color like referenced in your attachment.
  • Have been for 30 mins or so now. I still don't understand. Maybe I have a firewall blocking the changes like I did when I first revised measurement strategy editor.
