I agree, it should be possible to have a time estimate. It would be useful if I could just have a number that is based on ideal speeds and accelerations. Then as I run programs on different machines I could eventually guesstimate the real runtime. I'd know to add about 30% to the run time of our old machine, add 10% to the run time of this slick newer machine, subtract 10% if I enable fly mode - that sort of thing.
As long as I have worked with CMMs I have had anxious supervisors and managers ask me how long it will take to measure a new part with a tight deadline. It's kind of important since the CMM is often one of the last steps in the production process.
Hi,
As a CMM programmer, how can I find out the actual measurement time on the CMM machine of the programs I make offline? (How) can we do that ?
Thanks in advance.
Correct Dan, an actual offline timer that can be fine tune for your specific preference would be a nice feature. Wait, everyone has been waiting for years for multiple print commands to work. And they are still waiting. Well at that rate of development, you might be retired before its release. That is if they even do develop it.
