How to make your CMM run faster (Global S 7.10.7)

I am rerunning a DCC job on my Global S 7.10.7 CMM.

The job was originally programmed for an older 1612CHN.

I changed the movespeed in the PCDMIS program from 80 to 100.

I changed the acceleration of x,y,z from 50 to 2500.

This did not really help make the machine go must faster as I am calibrating right now and its taking forever.

What are all the variables that play into the speed/efficiency of a program? And if anyone has experience on a 7.10.7, what should I change those values to?

Thank you!!!

  • Until you 'run' the program, those program speeds will not apply to the probe-cal speeds (I've proved this), even with the probe-cal move speed set to 500mm/sec, until it reads the 500mm/sec in the program (by executing), it will use the internal 'default' movespeed for calibration. I don't know why, and it may be different on you hardware.

It also appears that you are using percent instead of absolute for movespeed, or you may think you are using absolute when in fact you are using percent, you may also need to change it to absolute, then use the parameters here: https://www.pcdmisforum.com/forum/pc...rs=&viewfull=1
