Dual Arm CMM questions

Good morning all. I have a few questions about Dual Arm operation, and I was hoping I could lean on those who are familiar.
  • I am working on a DEA Bravo 5M dual arm CMM equipped with TESA probe heads. There is no mapping of probe angles required with this probe interface.
  • I am running PC DMIS 2017MR2.

My questions are as follows. Please also comment as to whether or not my order of procedures are correct.

1. When calibrating probes from the Master side for both the Master and Slave, how in fact do the probes get transferred over to the slave side? Is this done automatically? If so, where is that configuration held in PC-DMIS?

2. After running the needed probe calibrations for both sides, I assume that I will run the common origin program. Is this correct?

3. After running the common origin program (set zero for both sides on the Master calibration sphere), I would like to run a chase ball program, but I can't seem to find one. Does anyone have a chase ball program they can send my way?

4. If I decide later to run in single arm mode, is it okay to use the same probe files on the slave side that were calibrated while in Dual Arm mode?

Thank you, fellow programmers!
