Calibrating after homing

Is it correct that after the machine is re-homed, you only need to re calibrate the “master” tip at 0,0 saying “yes” the tool has moved? All of the other tips do not need to be done because they will relate back to the previous position. Homing should be the same as just moving the cal sphere to a different location right?

  • In the absolute, you're right, my example was only for a long process of measurement, if you have to home during the prog (for a bad reason like a bug or a breakdown)
Homing is a real problem with rotary center... Calibrating a rotary is long, and it must be done after a homing...
