CMM Travel

The CMM is traveling on it's own when the Enable button is pressed, I know on the old controllers you pressed 3 Buttons down to reset it and it would stop, what about these new controllers? I know there was a Topic on this along time ago, but I can't find it. Anyways what's the process with the new controllers?

  • Joystick might have some debris lodged in it or be failing entirely. I've replaced several controllers and joysticks because of this over the years. Sometimes you can blow compressed air into the unit when you unscrew it, and it will work again for a while. Odds are its going to need to be replaced. You can usually find used ones on Ebay for about $100.In the past I have contacted the manufacturer directly looking for new units, but they will not sell them to the public. I assumed they had an agreement with hexagon. H009834/F is the model# of the controller I'm referencing.
