HP-S-X1C/H stylus module (rotatable)

Can someone explain what is the difference between this and the other standard stylus module (puck)? I’ve attached a picture. I was told this one can hold longer probes?

  • I would not be inclined to use this for long probes due to lack of rigidity, we have one on both of our machines as 3x20 's but rarely used, I would guess that being rotatable means you can rotate in the chuck if needed, for example if you had a probe from a knuckle requiring positioning at a certain angle Slight smile
