Subsequent evaluation - Point files

Like ZEISS Calypso, can PCDMIS output point files (ACTUALS) so that I can go back and run the program "Virtually" and get a report???.....(Subsequent inspection)
Scenario: I run a program (w/ physical part) using least square algorithm but 2-days later, I want to change it to Maximum Inscribed and run the part again.....but I no longer have the part so it needs to be done virtually by importing the Actuals from 2-days ago.....make sense??....

Thanks!

  • For example, you can measure a circle with a LeastSquares fit. Then, construct a circle using a maximum inscribed fit using the measured points from the LeastSqures circle. You would either need to select each hit from that circle in your construction or manually insert the FEATNAME.HIT[1..FEATNAME.NUMHITS] code into the construction of that new feature the edit window.

Doable, but what a major PITA if you have a lot of features to reevaluate...
