How to construct a line from an intersection of a plane and the outside of a cylinder

I have created a cylinder and a plane running parallel to the cylinder centerline. I want to create a line where the plane intersects the outside of the cylinder, on one side only. How can I do this?

  • The longish way to force what you are looking for would be to level to the plane, construct 2 generic lines and pierce the cylinder. Once you have the top/bottom points you can construct your new line to use/dim as needed.
Sometimes with 3d to 3d features, it can cause a vector to flip giving the inverse of information you are attempting to collect/use.
    Good luck
