I am wondering why I can't type at the end of the line when I am keying in features for a constructed set. I click between the two commas and try to type and it does nothing. I think it's not working because I've reached the end of that line. I need to key in these features though...
How can I add the dollar sign and go to the next line?
Also, why is there only one comma when I try to key in a feature for a Point Cloud? ahhhhhhhhhhhh
Make sure you have no construction/feature dialogue boxes open.
The comma's will continue to append every time you add a new feature. It doesn't create itself with 3+ extra commas and then limit you to those inputs.
Nothing is open. I can even start typing if im not at the end of the line, and then it just stops at the end of the line. See attachment. Tried closing the program and pcdmis. Tried creating a new constructed set. Same thing.
Is it possible to make a feature set, max it out, then make a second feature set selecting the 1st feature set and continue adding in the other features?
As others said, there is a max character limit on the command line in the edit window. You can shorten some of your point selection by using cir.hit[1..12] instead of adding them in one by one. Especially if there are many points in that feature.
You can select portions of your points and construct multiple feature sets and then create a final feature set from all the other feature sets. However, I do not know if this will give the same result as if selecting all the points in one single feature set.
Ahh I don't even have enough space to do that Sora5. Can I create two constructed sets and then combine them into a third constructed set? The reason I am doing all this is because I don't think profile of a surface reports correctly for circles. So I want to call out each individual hit. Please correct me if I am wrong about that.
Edit: Same problem with that method (see attachment)...reached the end of the line and can't type anymore. I guess I need to create like 6 sets and combine them...I actually got a popup saying reached the end of the line this time.
Thanks so much. Yeah, the first solution on that thread is what I was thinking (create a few constructed sets then combine them). Bazaar limitation to PC-DMIS.
