Keep track of probe usage

Hi,

I had a look around google and the forum but wasnt able to find what i searched for...

I guess We're not the only ones using tons of wrist positions for their probes to be able to measure everything production throws at us

Is there an easy way to keep track of the different probes / probe angles. I'm sure there are some that we dont need anymore but would like to be sure / keep track of this in the future.
Like a Deamon that puts the Probe, routine name, angle and date in a textfile for later analyse.
I'm open for every proposal; How do you keep track of your probes / angles?

it's an *.XLSXM file that was renamed to *.PDF so i could be posted on the forum. download the file and replace the *.PDF suffix with *.XLSM
then, once it opens, you will need to follow the stuff above to get it to work.

I have a feeling, that this is when the script trys to open the PRG File with PCDMIS.
I'll have a look at home when i have the time. Maybe it's a Work-related IT Problem...

Gather all programs and your subfolder in a parent folder. Open your calibration program or create a new program and in each probe press f9 and press the following button:

All angles that are being used by your programs will be marked. If not marked you could go ahead and delete them. Repeat for each probe... profit!

If i'm not mistaken, I'd have to open every routine (hundreds of routines...) at least in my software version...
Or is this like the script? Every routine needs to be in the same folder without subfolder etc...?
This function actually never worked for me until now.

if ALL the programs are in ONE master folder (makes no difference how many sub-folders there are), and you put a program in that master folder that recalls all your probe files, this will work. You can make copies of your programs to do this, no need to muck up your current storage system, no CAD files needed, just the PRG file, and they can be in sub-folders, this will find them.

in fact, I think if you put a program right on the C drive, that recalls all the probe files, you can do it from there. Simply F9 each loadprobe, and select the mark global it will do it. It might take a bit of time for it to search through the entire hard drive for all the Pcdmis programs, but I think it should work.

Make sure no "all probe calibration" routines are in that folder, or it will bias your data to include all the angles in the probe cal routine

That's actually the same as in the script, just that it's "natively" supported by Hexagon?
