Fast Probe Mode

Hi guys, I want to ask what affects support of Fast Probe Mode. We have machine Global S green which supports Fast probe mode and we bought a new machine also Global S green but bigger size of table, which has a bit slower move speed and acceleration than smaller machine but it doesn't support Fast probe. They have both same wrist head and probe. So my question is that, what affects support of Fast probe?
it's Control unit, motors, firmware or it's just internal settings of control unit? I have it on by software settings but it's not working. Thanks

  • Fast probe mode is only used when you have Analog probe systems and honestly having it off slows the programs down A LOT. I always use fast probe mode, the difference in results is minimal. my 2 cents.

    +1 here

I've been using FASTPROBE on everything that I know will be going on a CMM that has the HP-S-X1S and it makes a HUGE difference in run time and from the studies that I have done here we are seeing a few microns difference in the touch point measurement results.
