How to use: Template Start and Template End Commands?

Hey all.
I am in the process of creating templates. The Help Center says the following:

Controlling What Ends Up in a Template

If you want to include only parts of your measurement routine as template commands, you can control that with some special start and end Document comments.
  1. Open a measurement routine that you want to use as your template.
  2. Locate the commands that you want PC-DMIS to insert into new measurement routines.
  3. Bound the commands you DO want to include these Document comments:
    • #TEMPLATE_COMMAND_START_POINT#
    • #TEMPLATE COMMAND_END_POINT#

Unfortunately I have no idea how to use these commands.
I can't paste them into the editor.

Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Does anyone have an example of this? I'm trying to do something similar. My current method is creating blank programs with a header and footer that I use for all my programs. One template for IN on for MM. To me it seems like after a while the program becomes "corrupted" Ill insert the new cad model and go to save under a new part number and it will no longer work properly. If there was way to call in the templates in a blank program that would be so much easier
