I have some problem or bug with touch probe while i am using PC DMIS..I have a video of the problem that is bothering me. If someone can help me i will be gratefull. I cant post video of that problem here cause its too large. Where i can post that video that u can see ? Touch probe hit the object one time and then repeat that hit few times, then go forward. Like some bug. Why is that happens ?
Kule8 Are you using Surface points? Looks like it's taking 3 points for a surface point not sure if you are intending to use vector points. Either that or it could be magnetized ?
to piggy back, 'F9' your point feature and look to see if sample hits is being used. Usually it has 3 for a default, change it to 0 and rerun the feature. If you only get 1 hit then
Smasherofprobes was on target. You would need to go through each point individually to clear the sample hits, or convert the points to vector points to remove the sample hits from all features.
Is that an HP-THD probe body that's at the end of your extension? Mine was doing the exact same thing and I had to replace it. Last one only lasted a year before it started doing that again. They are very fragile like the old tp200. I'm guessing that is what it is. Only way to check if its the cause is to have another one unfortunately. If it is in fact going out, it will do this a lot. Doesn't matter the angle you use. Mine did do it worse on some angles compared to others, but eventually started jogging back and forth more than 3 times and error out. Other times it would just go back and forth like 3 times and move to the next feature.
New part number is HP-THDe-B. This is the piece at the end of the black extension that your magnetic probe module attaches too. Its optical.
what happens if you edit that point and move it to a slightly different location? i mean like moving that point in x,y,z about .100''. does the machine still mishit?
