Hi all
I'm working with one part, which is a disk with three holes and six slots unequally spaced from each other.
I usually use xact, and in the past I have always removed diameter sign and just filled the datums and tolerances in FCF.
But recently I saw that there is a button with the inscription planar zone where i may ajust axis or vector. Now I understand that it is not clear to me how to adjust the FCF in cases of measuring slots (and other things with a rectangular tolerance zone). Do I need to adjust this planar zone in any way in my case?
Maybe someone can tell me a little more about this...i'm use 2014 version.
I've attached a sketch showing what I'm dealing with.
You need to tell Xact the direction of the tolerance zone. That is what the vector is for. In your case, the vector will be different for all five slots. You can find the vector by taking an autovector point on the surface of the slot wall.
