Turn of grid lines from .stl file

Hi guys. I wonder if it is possible to turn off the lines from the stl file. I just need to see only the shape of the part, without any lines.
I am merging the stl file with the step file to see what surfaces of the part are machined and it is really annoying to see those lines going through the step file.

thanks in advance for any help!

  • Unfortunately, I don't think you can turn on/off the surface edges for just one part of an assembly.

You can just hide the surface edges for all of the models (Operation - Graphic Views - Surface Edges). A bit of a bummer since I prefer to see them.

Another option is to change the line thickness or color of the surface edges to make them easier to look at (Edit - Graphic Display window - Screen Color ---> switch to the 'Wireframe' tab)
