I am running 2021.2. I have a program that uses 3 different tip sizes (2mmx50mm,1mmx50mm and 0.5mmx10mm) and 2 different size qualification spheres (1" sphere for the 1 and 2mm tips and 8mm sphere for 0.5mm tip). I am having issues with false measurements due to i think the way I am calibrating the 0.5mm tip. I only use the 0.5mm for 4 circles with diameters of .043". My question is " how should i go about calibrating these tips correctly for this program. Thanks in advance.
Can you post more information about "false mreasurements" and the way you calibrate 0.5mm ?
In general you must master ball defined by master probe in the 0,0 rotation. Defined by answering YES to question if the ball has beed moved and all others probes calibrated in the DCC by answering NO to the question if the ball has been moved.
I use my "service probe" as my master probe and have always used 1" as master ball. I then calibrate the 1 and 2mm tips using the 1" ball then have to swap to the 8mm ball on same base and calibrate 0.5 mm tip. I feel like this is the issue is when I have to change to 8mm ball. I have sent some pics to help. So would the best solution be to use the 8mm ball to calibrate all tip sizes?
