How to find centerline off this Fixture

Good morning everyone,
I am trying to figure out the best way to find the centerline from the locator pins to each section of the side walls. We are thinking the fixture is off centered because when you put a part on, it shows a gap between the part and the wall on one side and tight on the other side. I am trying to get some input on the best way to find the centerline. I hope I explained it well enough lol. Attached is an image of the fixture.

  • I would algin to the outer extents of the bar stock, check straightness of the bar.
then i'd measure a circle for each pin (even the squared one, looks like you can get a 4hit cir on the OD edges)
create 4x 3 or 4hit planes, one for each face of the fork-tabs.
construct a midplane of each fork.
Construct a line: Midplane 1 (will be centroid), Circle 1, Circle 2 (squared peg), Midplane 2
    assess straightness of that line
assess parallelism of that line to the bar stock.
