using simulation mode

Question: when you open a 2nd program in PCDMIS, you are in simulation mode on the 2nd program and this is useful in seeing what a previously written program is going to do -- useful for parts coming down the line. But the simulation moves very fast. Is there any way to slow it down?

  • It is not a wise thing to attempt running a program in offline at a workstation that is functioning online.
    Maybe something has been changed but typically doing this will cause crashes and amount to lost time for having to rerun product through the CMM.
    Just a cautionary tale.

    Yeah, a better way is to just open the program in offline mode and run it.
