Calibration Issues

PCDMIS 2020 R1 Hexagon SF5-4-5 machine. I use a master probe, a change rack and an automated calibration routine for calibration. The master probe measures one tip and is used to set the location of the of the calibration sphere. Master probe is 3mm x 20 stylus straight. The routine then switches a probe build with a five way with only 2 positions filled one tip pointing to the back of the CMM and one towards the front. It begins to auto calibrate through a series of tips stored in a parameter set. All of the tips with a A0 angle calibrate fine but when it rotates to a A65 or A90 it misses the ball completely. I have 9 other machines running this calibration program just fine. I have remade all the probe files. I have replaced the modules and probe builds for the master and the right angle insuring they are straight etc. Still the same issue but with only this one machine. It is almost like the rotation is not correct on the head. Any ideas what is going on here? Thanks

  • I have the reset tips to theocraticals box checked and saved in the parameter set. This check box functions like hitting the manual reset tips button on the main probe dialog box.
No, I didn't copy them I deleted and rebuilt the files from scratch. Actually I did both. First i copied didn't work then deleted and rebuilt.

This is just weird it is almost like the head is out of square or something is off in the rotation. It does all the A0 tips fine hits sphere center as soon as it rotates to A65 A90 it misses the sphere center by almost a complete sphere. It will calibrate if I tell it it to take a manual hit to locate the tool but then it is not relating tool positions with my master probe and other probes. So I will have issues with dimensions that use multiple probes to measure features.
