Stable version of PC-DMIS

I'm in a shop with 7 CMMs and all are currently running 2018 R2. This version is working fine, but I know that the longer you hold out to upgrade the riskier it is when the newer version opens it.
I was hoping to get some feedback on recent releases and pick the most stable one, both for running and programming. Any opinions?

  • I just upgraded from 2019 to 2023.1 and everything seems to be pretty "stable". I still get random crashes (most often when I hit F9 on a feature) but that also seems to be pretty normal in my experience. I did have one issue trying to open a customer supplied program. Apparently 2023 won't open some old programs like the one that I had from V2014. My work around was to open it on my V2019.2 offline seat and then open it up in V2023.Rolling eyes
  • I'm probably going to look into that utility. I expect to receive more programs that were written in an unsupported version in the near future. I believe anything older than V2017 last I checked is no longer being supported. I planned on upgrading my offline seat to V2023, but I haven't done it yet since I'm still waiting on a couple more programs from the customer.
