I am new to this forum so please be patient with me.
I use Hexagon CMM global S with PCDMIS version 2019R1 OS windows 10.
Standardly we print our PDF reports thru internal PCDMIS 50 converter (Amyuni PDF converver version 5.0.1.3.)
If PDF report is printed thru
local windows admin account everything works ok.
If we use
local windows domain user PCDMIS prints in black and white.
What could be the issue causing this?
(Before you ask why every one is not using local windows admin account we as a company can not have everyone to be local admins
that would be serious security problem or why we don not upgrade to latest PCDMIS version because our company invested heavily in to other things
and our budget is thin)
What we tried so far:
We tried to reinstall and also repair PCDMIS installation under administrators account and for few days it worked. But then again it went to black and white color.
We tried to reinstall PCDMIS 50 converter from folder C:\Program Files\Hexagon\PC-DMIS 2019 R1 64-bit\PDFDriverInstallFiles it worked for some users but not others.
We tried to locate thru regedit if some parts of PCDMIS needs permissions granted them everywhere.
When I have spare time I went thru every topic in this forum (also googled a lot) and could not locate here any solution nobody
had this problem it seems if I missed any topic with this problem please forgive me. Also nowhere in windows or PCDMIS I could
not locate in user interface radio button controls to change from black and white to color.
Thanks everyone who reads this wall of text and is trying to find out solution.
check your printer drivers details accounts settings. sounds like something isnt enabled correctly or when you go to print the report the printer settings is enforcing your policy settings to black and white.
It is same for local admin and domain user. Only print background colors is checked in the path you suggested. Under local admin it prints with color under domain user it is black and white.
I opened Print Management. In there I checked printer driver. All of printer instances (files) have same privilege under local admin and domain user. Is there a way I can force PCDMIS to always print in color? Some inner setting?
I also checked settings editor. Under PC-DMIS setting editor Printing->PrintBackgroundColors value of "Current value" is set to 1.
Under regedit: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\PC-DMIS 50 Converter\DsDriver
PrintColor is set to 01.
This setting does not exist in PCDMIS 50 converter (Amyuni PDF converver version 5.0.1.3.) nowhere under PCDMIS and nowhere under windows. This was first thing I tried to do. UI of converter does not have this option. I am at the moment for one week on holidays but when I get back to my machine I can even provide screen shots for you to see.
Default printer is set different not amyuni converter. Problem with black and white reports happen when I try to print to PDF. Do you want to see screen shots of UI? Or is it not unnecessary?
