Unilateral profile min max confusion

I know that if you Legacy profile it doesn't show the MIN/MAX, but I don't know how to turn it off in the new versions.

Legacy WILL report MIN/MAX if it is turned on in the dimension options (F10, dimension tab, dimension output format, MIN/MAX option)

You probably have to turn it OFF in the same way for his report.

I tried turning it off but that didn't work. I think it's something with V2023, but I can't find any evidence to support my thought process.

It has to do with the way the standard is written and PcDmis adhering stringently to that standard.

You have ± .05 from a zone centered .05 below the surface of the part, that is where the min-max is from.

You are a distance away from the limit (.031 for you from the high limit, which is the surface BASIC as defined sine you are U0).

That is doubled and taken out of the total tolerance (.1 (total tol) - .062 (gap from high doubled)) and you have a measure of .038 actual profile. PcDmis doesn't truncate, so you have some small numbers not displayed, which is why it says .039 instead of .038.

You can't do the math, as defined by the ANSI standards, without having a delta between the worst point and the limit, so they need to shift the nominal down and have a min/max.

It is NOT saying you are +.019 from the as drawn basic, it is saying you are .019 above the nominal created by shifting .05 in from the as drawn basic.

At least they aren't saying you are .029 anymore like in XactMeasure. But it would be easier if that was behind the scenes and not visible so people wouldn't be concerned by a "weird" display in my opinion.

Matt's comment should apply. make sure you put the FORMAT change before your reported dimension

I did...I even put it above the other features and everything, but the profile had the min/max turned off in the report. I just wanted to confirm my suspicions so I can eliminate our customers concerns.
Caemgen's response seems to be in line with my though process about the zone creating a nominal in the center of the tolerance zone. It would seem that the report format is an intentional design, but it would be nice if I could turn it off to remove any questions...lol

As much as I do, I just don't have time to explain every little detail on a report.....

That is a GeoTol command, maybe you can turn that on/off in the evaluation command settings.

Don't think the F10 MIN/MAX settings applies to the GeoTol commands.

Did you try and right clicking on the report Edit object UNCHECK MIN MAX
