Hello, my CMM allows me to move the probe around with the jogbox with no issues....until I execute a program. Once I execute a program, I can move around for a bit to pick up a manual point, but then the machine freezes and shortly after than the jogbox turns off and I get a
TR_FG028, In-Position error.
I fear this is a symptom due to the Z axis being drove into the granite. I turned the air and controller on one day without realizing the main power wasnt on and the quill drove into the granite.
IF your Z axis counter-balance pressure isn't correct, the Z axis drive system can't lift the weight (if low) or can't force it down (if high) and it will give you that error. I see that error on my old Validator once in a while (counter-balance system is garbage on that machine), all I need to do is use the jogbox to move it up a touch or down a touch and tell it to continue, and it takes right off again.
