Scan problem

Has anyone run into this problem where the scan will not track in a straight line to the end destination?

All settings are correct. I scan almost everything, and this is the first time it's done this, and I can't seem to fix it.

vectors are correct. The CUT is correct, and it looks good when generating the scan.

The only time I have had this happen is if I don't turn on CAD Comp, then it takes off on me, or if I don't generate the scan on the online software, which usually fixes it.

Here is a screen shot of after it does the scan. You can see that it's kind of spiraling; this is an advance closed scan. this is a sphered surface. I know that the cad model is not the correct ID size could that be the culprit?

  • I've had this problem intermittently on a Global using and SP600 with a 1x30 ITP styli.
I think ther'es too much flexibility in the stem, even though it's supposed to be carbide.
Make sure you have an optional probe command before your loadprobe, and then start adjusting the forces.
