Changing results on Non-Legacy Reporting and Dimensions

Hello all,

I am currently fronting a change within the inspection department to switch from the old style and method of reporting (Legacy Dimensions) To the new GD&T tolerancing and have the following question

On the old method if a change was needed (I.E if something was a micron out of spec but was manual checked and was deemed to be okay) changing the report for customer was no problem however in this new way if something is a micron out of tolerance I am currently unable to easily change the dimension to come in.

Does anyone know of why this is and if so is there a way around it? as this currently is the biggest reason as to why we cant use the new method full time as of yet

  • they've locked down the dimensional reporting to be directly tied to the cad nominal

    you have to change the nominal of the feature itself

    so if its a diameter you'd have to f9 into the autofeature and change it..after that the nominal for the reported value will change with it
