Adaptive freeform plane scan - nice and easy

Hi its my first post here, and I'm also returned to PC-DMIS after years.
So Hi all Slight smile
I need to do scan of plane.
I used to make sutch things in les than one minute on previous software from 2017 - just choose distance from edge, number of points and "OK" . Here i have PC-DMIS 2023.1 so i'm shocked how it is

My objective is - create two scan patches on plane eatch one made exacly of 250 points placed in equal distances obviously - or in some reasonable manner. But it have to be 500 in total
i spend few hours to make it and i'm keep having some issues.

First is there is on poseablity to choose exact number of points
Second is what PC-DMIS is missing some patchs segments when number of points is too low

Do you have any ideas what how can i do it fast and easy ?
Here examples of my single scan patches

  • Yes this perimeter scan and i found jump hole making it bether a bit but its still missing some area.
I have this PC-DMIS in Polish unfortunatelly because some our translations are made like google translator. Please use imagination if i translate it back not clearly.

I also found "learn path" method where i can choose manually points and it works bether but distance between points is like little random or like it generates the patch and extra adds points clicked by me. I do not understant this method.
Also there is total number of points in field where i wrote "111" but software ignores it, it takes number of points from "increment" field
Meybe i'm mising some setings or what ?
It looks bad. I dont spread my manual points really nice but i just wanted to quickly show results of generated patch

We need to have good looking patchs because we are sending visualization of points to clients from time to time, and we are doing many planes by single points what seems like lot of time for me so i'm thinking meybe there is some faster method for doing it in PC-DMIS

  • looks like your model is shifted from you theoretical scan?
