Quick Features making points where no feature exists

Hello,

My colleague and I are new to PCDMIS. We are trying to write a program to measure a cylindrical part.

When we use the quick feature (hold shift and click) on a cylinder, either the inside diameter or outside diameter, PCDMIS is making points off in outer space, where no feature exists.

We clicked fix cad vectors, but we still get the same result.

Is this an issue with the model, or are we doing something wrong?

  • If you are having trouble with the Cylinder auto feature, what I tend to do is select a circle auto feature, click on the surface where I'm going to make my cylinder, and then take all the relevant X,Y, Z / I, J, K data and then make an auto cylinder with that data. And set all the proper length/diameter settings as well. I usually only do this when auto cylinder is being picky.
