Hello Team, this probably is simple, but I just want to clarify that hole-to-hole TP without a Rotate feature alignment is correct. When you only have a Plane -B- and a Datum -D- hole in this case TP callout, the Level would be the plane and origin in that WP, then origin the Datum -D- hole and that's it. Thank you for any help.
Hole to hole TP 11-6-2023.docx
Thank you. The part has 4 holes like Datum -D-, but only one is designated the Datum. There is an arrow pointing to that Datum -D- hole that says 4X ( .855 +/- .002 on a Basic 13.864 B.C.) There is also an arrow to the small hole that say 4 X (0.350 +/- .0025 on a Basic 13.883 B.C) I am using Legacy PC-DMIS 2020.
Based on your comments and looking at the holes perp to the face, Datum -B- would be your level and origin in Z & the 4 Datum -D- holes would be a best fit in X/Y for origin and rotation allowed around Z.
