Probe Orientation In Wrong Direction after Program Finish

Hello, this is my first post on this forum.

I currently have a program that has the part flipped upside down about halfway through the program. It uses the 2 CAD model approach with an equate alignment to align the features. There's no issue with it running through the program, until it fully completes the program, and it starts from the beginning. If the manual features to create the first alignment are marked out, the probe still thinks that the part is still flipped and will promptly crash into the part.

Would I still need to manually align the part every single time or is there some sort of feature/command that I am forgetting to put in so that the orientation is reset?

  • I have not done any equate alignments yet. If your probe is crashing into the part, have you tried maybe using move commands to get the probe out of the way before the program finishes? Then at the end of the program maybe recall the alignment that is used before the part is flipped?

There is probably a more obvious/practical answer here someone else will bring for us.
