PC-DMIS Crashing at the Start of a Measurement

Our machines run PC-DMIS 2017R2. We run a large amount of measurement routines on our machines. On one specific program, when the operator presses ctrl+Q, sometimes PC-DMIS will crash. The operator will then relaunch PC-DMIS and can run the program. After one run, the program will crash again causing the operator to repeat these steps until all of the parts have been measured. Operators will normally measure 4 parts during one run. The program is looped off of one part in the CAD model to measure all 4 parts in a 2x2 fixture.

I tried replicating the issue while only measuring one part at a time, but was unable to replicate the crashing. I was wondering if this could be due to the memory usage spiking above the computer limit, and causing PC-DMIS to crash?

  •   @Loisd 's suggestion is valuable . Next time, when crash happens, the operator should restart the computer before relaunches the program.

The other is about the "crash",  people use crash for any abnormal in our plant, from missing the center of hole, retract not enough and stop... I always ask them to take snapshot on the program and take pictures of the probe and part.
