Using CAD naming for Feature Naming?

Good morning folks!

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction here.

I have a customer who has sent me IGES files for point they would like measured.

Is there a way of having PC-DMIS recognize the feature name in CAD and use that as the feature name in the program?

    Hey Scott, as far as the feature name in PC-DMIS, you can change that to whatever you like using the labels manually. Are you trying to find a way to automate it? What you can do is change default feature ID types for a program so that anything generates follows that same naming convention. Could you share in a little more detail what you'd like to do?
