Is it normal for a disc probe to take 4 hits on top of the sphere using the flat side of the probe, as if it's relocating the sphere? It does this every time for me, even though I have the single "DCC" option selected, and I select No when asked if the sphere has moved. It calibrates ok, I'm just concerned that it's relocating the sphere and messing up the tip relations. This is an analog scanning probe by the way. We have another CMM with a touch trigger probe, and the disc probe does not behave this way. It immediately starts probing around the sphere. Is this anything to be concerned about?
