Good morning, I am using 2024 but have had this issue on 2023 as well, I have a stamping that uses 4 [A] datum targets on 2 different parallel levels, [B] datum is a hole and [C] datum is a slot.
- I create an offset plane for [A] and define it as DATDEF A
- I define the circle [B] as DATDEF B
- I define [C] in multiple ways
- Cast Circle
- Width feature
- Cast point
- 2D line between [B] and [C]
- When I attempt True Position of the slot I get an error message stating [C] is invalid, controls no degrees of freedom, I get the same error regardless of which [C] I define
How do I fix this so I can report the True Position of the slot,(have not even tried the circle True position yet)
