How save and recall alignment works

When i create alignment my coordinates are ok, but after recalling it my coordinates are unreal.

How can i use this function proppelly ?

  • Ok, so this is my test part and after deleting this points, manually measuring i created new points and it works ok.

But how to write program when i'm only offline parts have to come in next two months but i should write program now

How to make it good without problems with bad calculations ?

  • Start an offline program with recalling an external alignment even if it does not exist yet. Repeat the alignment in DCC mode by programing all the hits on the datums (offline) still. Continue with your program. When you have the parts, create a manual calibration program and save the alignment with the name that you recall in your main routine. Obviously test this before waiting months on a simple dummy program and a part you already have (can be another part/product code all together).

  • If you are needing to program offline, you could use a read point at the origin of your part. Then align to your read point and program from there. Any complications that come from potential part / cad differences will have to be modified when you get the physical parts and can do a manual alignment. I completely missed the recall alignment part of this post, sorry. I haven't had to use anything like a recalling a saved/external alignment.

  • That's how we actually do our programs where I work. We either make the manuals alignments on the fixtures or the parts externally on separated programs. We recall them in the beginning of our core programs. Even if there is no part to do the manual alignment, we can go ahead recall a non existent .aln file and continue forming our programs. To be 100% sure this will work, the external alignment features that you will probe manually, better be the ones that you will form the first DCC alignment after the recall.
