linear scan hit point colors are red

We updated to 2023.2 from 2017 R2.

When we load a program with no part data we get acceptable green dots like the first image.

Then we run a part and get red dots with green arrows. I think you can see how this is odd and conflicting as red is typically out of tolerance.

Anyway to keep the hit points always green so we know the hit points are a linear scan vs black hit points which are vector points?

Thanks.

  • I think there's a settings editor entry - something similar to "ShowScansAsPoints" - which it look like you have enabled.  That setting shows the individual hits of the scan (instead of a solid black line) and colors them based on your default tolerances on the Setup Options (F5),  Dimension tab.  Those tolerances default to ±0.05mm.  Your profile tolerance is probably higher than that which is why the graphical analysis arrows are green but the points are red.
