Reporting Issues (Sectioning off reported features)

I am in the process of customizing the CAD- only landscape style report for a measurement routine as this format suits our needs the best. Within each page, I can zoom in/out on the CAD model that allow me to display a specific area of the part where I would like specific features to be displayed. Let's say I have 200 holes, slots, surface points, etc. that are measured, but I only want to report certain feature groupings that are close to each other on the scanned part.

For example, page 1 displays features 1-15 which are from the top left of the scanned part, this is okay. Page 2 displays features 16-30 but I need page 2 to only display features 16-20 because those 5 features are in close proximity with each other at the top right of the scanned part. Page 3 should only display features 21-30 for the same reason. However, in my report I am finding it difficult to customize each individual report page with the feature labels I require.

Is there something I can write within the program or do within the report that would allow me to section off which exact features I want to report on a specific page?

I want to add that I have all features, within the program, in the order I would like them to be reported, I just don't know how to section them off for the report.

I was told the formfeed/ command would allow me to section the features off by page as well, however it did not work.

I have also tried to increase the label count per page, in the report itself, to 20 and then duplicate the page to section off the features I want to group together but this hasn't worked properly because certain features will still fail to be reported on the pages I need.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback!

Thank you for your support!

  • Hello, thank you for your response.

Please correct me if I am wrong, the only thing different between yours and mine is that you have removed the COMMENT/REPT, command. Otherwise, I believe they are identical. If so, I will try out this method and see if this works.

Additionally, would you please help me understand why you removed the COMMENT/REPT, command?

    Thank you!

  • it could be the position of the form feed command if you are typing it in by hand , type it  "formfeed" then hit the tab key not the " / " key the tab should input the " /".
Try to place it in using the menu too
Insert -> Report Command -> formfeed.
