I primarily use legacy dimensioning due to the current work conditions. When is it acceptable to use a best fit plane with least squares, and when should I be using the constrained L2 primary plane construction? My current understanding is you want to use the constrained L2 math type on your datums. Then, on other features it is acceptable to use a best fit plane using least squares.
