Romer leapfrog

Good day all,

I am writing this on behalf of our Romer operator, not having any experience with the Romer myself but well versed with PC-DMIS. My question is: When a leapfrog is performed is the data to make the transformation only temporary (available only as long as the part program is open)? PC-DMIS needed to be shut down during an inspection just after a leapfrog was performed, when PC-DMIS was back open some features after the point where the program was left off would not measure and the ones that did measure the actuals were more in line with an alignment with the position after the leapfrog.

I looked in the leapfrog dialog and there is no data. I would have expected something that would be used to calculate the offsets, etc.

If the above is the case wouldn't an Equate Alignment be better suited than a leapfrog?
