Sample Part vs. New Part

I have a sample part that is a known good part. I have a part that needs to be checked to the sample. There is no print and no CAD data. Is there a way to compare the values of the sample vs the values of the new part?

Thanks!

James

OK, you wanna know HOW to do as well if it is possible?

Simple use SURFACE POINT in the AUTO FEATURES.

Under the MISC "area", select MASTER instead of nominals.

Type in a vector that's close to the point you want to measure

Touch the part where you want to measure

Set the SAMPLE HITS to INIT 3 and PERM either 3 or none (your choice)

HIT "DONE" button on the joystick WITH measure marked and it will measure and make a point that is NOW the "cad" nominal for the point.
  • Inspect sample part, do not change nominals. Run program on new part.
