We have a total of three arms at the shop here - an old B&S Gage 2000, which Faro calls a Silver arm (and doesn't support any more) and two of the newer, larger Platinum arms - which we seem to have to send in on a regular basis for encoders that won't work.
I would like to cut Faro right out of the equation on the annual certifications - and encoder repairs if I can - because they don't offer any sort of discount for multiple arms. Plus they don't support the Silver arm any more and quite frankly this thing is a tank. I much prefer the small arm over the newer Platinum arms.
Does anyone have a contact that would be willing to certify these things on an annual basis and possibly repair them as needed? It's costing us $2000 per arm every time we send these things in - doesn't matter if we need a calibration or a encoder repair.
