I have a model and a cloud of points over the whole thing and both before and after I do a face colormap I can see through the part and see the points that are scanned on the opposite side of the part as well as the points that are on the side of the part that I am actually viewing. It also says that I am missing points over areas that are clearly full of points. Yes the transparency of the part is turned off and I have had the same settings on parts before that it did not do this with. I have tried re-opening the program tried changing the transparency on it and still no changes. Any help with this would be great
In 2011 MR1 CUSTOM under Edit, Graphics Dislpay, Lighting and Materials, on the OPEN GL tab there is a button that says PointCloud always Visibile. Uncheck that and you will only see the points on your side of the surfaces.
This did work, just had to check it and accept and then go back and uncheck it again and all is good now.
