Are Faro romer arms self calibrating?

We have a Faro arm that the operator showed me has a feature that tells that the tip is in calbration. Now I know very little about this but is it possible? If you need more info to answer just let me know. I will do my best.
Thanks in advance

  • Don,

I'm not sure what he would be referring to. I know that each time you change your tip (no different than pcdmis) you need to calibrate the tip.

There should be an "artifact" that you use. There is a "logue" history which contains current and previous calibrations for any given probe tip.

    Hope this helps a little.
