How do I evaluate the 6 ABC profile ( Item No. 72 ) using points collected from an RS1 laser scanner. I know I can do it the traditional way by using the auto surface points and evaluating the points individually from an origin. I also know I can run the hard probe over this area and get a profile reading that way ( I preffer not to do that since this is a cast aluminum part ) I would think that since I have almost an unlimited ammount of laser points to use for the evaluation that there must be a more advanced way to go on the model and define the area ( i.e. the 45mm area, all the way around the spout, section C-C ) and PC DMIS give me a result.
Using pc-dmis portable CAD++ MR1 custom 2011 .
