Perpendicularity question

We have older version of PCDMIS on this ARM. I need some help recalling programing perpendicularity.

When programing perpendicularity, there is a projection distance that can be added. Is it required?
If left blank will the results be accurate?
Where do you get that distance?
Would it be a print dim?

Thank you in advance for helpful comments.

  • I think that if you leave off the projection distance, PCD just uses the probed lengths for calculation.
If you are probing near the extremes of the features involved in the perpendicularity requirements, it is just about the same as including the projected distance.
If you cannot probe at the extremes, then the projected distance is needed.
