We recently got another Romer arm 7535 and received PC-DMIS 2013 to run with. So far lots of issues with 2013 from what I can see, (I run 2012 on mine, still going strong.) I'm not sure if this is a software issue or an issue with the arm though. What's happening is multiple times throughout the day, and getting more frequent, the arm loses it's connection with the laptop. We are wired to the laptop mind you. It comes up with a message that says "motherboard initialization failed" and then we have to turn off and on the arm for it to reconnect. Anyone else had this issue? Should I just contact support?
Sounds reasonable.. It did have a USB energy saver enabled so I went and disabled it. Hopefully that works, thanks! I'll post again if it freezes up...
I have switched the cables from his laptop with mine. So far his no longer has the motherboard issue, but what's wierd is mine is still running fine too. No complaints while they're both working, just wierd
We had the same issue and it was the mother board in the arm was not working properly all the time . Had to send it to Hexagon for replacement, if sending in need to note it, because as you know it works then it can crash with-out warning .
We had our romer 7535 for <month and started having the same issue. We sent it in to hexagon and it was sent back within ten days. It was actually the cable that was causing the problem. The workaround? "unplug the cable and go wireless." is exactly what the support staff told us to do. smh.
