2014 feature labels and COP

2014 has been working pretty well for us for the most part. Best release since 2011 MR1.

My question....is there a way to keep the feature labels/COP from turning back on every time you get done scanning?

I can hide everything, then if I have to do any additional scanning, as soon as I release the trigger on the scanner, everything turns back on and really bogs down the graphics screen. I have to turn the feature labels off again...and then the only way to turn the COP off is to scroll back up the feature tree and cycle the COP to "show" and then "hide" again to turn it off. If I just click"hide" it does nothing.

I know there is no way to keep the feature labels from appearing as you are programming and you just have to turn them off every once in a while.

This issue of them all turning back on every time you release the trigger on the scanner is some thing new with 2014. They never did this before, gets a little annoying, especially the part about the COP and having to scroll up the feature tree every time to cycle it off.

Any ideas?

  • No i didn't. I just went back in and did that. That seems to have worked.

You should post a sticky in all the forums of this. I have seen this question asked several times on this forum and no one has ever posted a solution. Even some of the resident "experts" have said that it wasn't possible.

    Thank you.

    You're welcome.

Actually, I picked up this tidbit here on the forum. I couldn't find the post using Tapatalk search on my phone, but I always like to give credit where it's due for gems like this. So here it is - give Wlayton some rep.
F5 > ID Setup > Labels for: Drop down= Features > Labeling method: = By Type > Type: = Points. Show all IDs checkbox = unchecked. Apply > OK

This will turn off all of your ID's in this program. You will have to change it in all of your programs unless you make a template program and work off of that one.
