Switching tips.

If I switch a tip from 6mm to a another 6mm do I need to calibrate te bew tip?

When I say switch, i mean unscrewing it from the module.

Some one here mentuoned that with Romer no need to calibrate tips

  • That is what I thought, RDS is a separate program that we needed to be purchase or it is usually supplied with Romer Arm?


    Wolfman, I actually forgot to inquire what kind of arm you're using. Romer brand arms need either WinRDS or RDS which is required for it to run, so if you're already running then it's already installed. With RDS I know that you just calibrate your probe in PC-DMIS and it will open up the RDS dialogue for calibration. WinRDS for the older arm I assume does the same thing, but I don't know for certain since I've only been exposed to the newer arms so far. Faro arms also will bring up the calibration dialogue in PC-DMIS if you just run a calibration routine.
