Intersection question

What would be the best way to inspect the dimension in the picture? It is from the point where the curved detail meets the plate down to where the curved detail meets the other flat surface. Is there an accurate way to find intersection points of the different details? It may be a little easier to check if there wasn't weld where each of these details come together.

Thanks.

  • Markus, to create 3D lines you can either take single points on the surface you want to create the line on then construct a line. When the box open to select the points, select 3D line instead of 2D. The other way to easily do this is to take your hits on the surface for a line and end it. Looking at the feature, you can hover over the workplane, MEAS/LINE,HITS*(NUMBER OF HITS YOU TOOK), WORKPLANE* (whatever work plane your in). Hover over this workplane, click, and select 3D.
